2007年12月10日，我们发布了《英迈：首席运营官张凡将升任中国区首席执行官》一文，披露出英迈国际中国区首席执行官Meinie Oldersma即将离职，其职位将由现任首席运营官张凡先生接任的消息，这也是华人高管在英迈国际的又一次成功的迈进。

今天，英迈国际全球总裁兼首席执行官Alain Monié向全体同仁发布公开信，正式宣布了此项人事变化，透露出Meinie Oldersma的去向是“将在明年1月底离开英迈公司，他将担任一家英国电信分销公司的CEO”。在信中，Alain Monié还对Meinie Oldersma在英迈国际长达21年的服务历程表示由衷感谢。

Dear Teammates:

Meinie Oldersma, president of our China operations, has decided to leave Ingram Micro at the end of January to become the CEO of a telecommunications distributor in the UK. 

While I’m sorry to see Meinie leave the company, I recognize that he is pursuing an excellent career opportunity in his native Europe. His strong business counsel and operational expertise, along with his warm sense of humor, will be missed by many associates throughout the world.

Meinie is a skilled executive who successfully led operations in Europe and Asia.

Under his leadership, the China Group rose from a struggling investment area to one of the company’s star performers in just three years. Meinie and his team instituted strong processes and operational discipline that will serve the organization for many years to come. Before moving to China in 2004, he led the operations in the UK and northern Europe, and served as Europe’s regional purchasing and marketing director.
 
On February 1, 2008, Meinie’s responsibilities will be transferred to Frank Zhang, who is being promoted to senior vice president, China Operations. Frank is well known to associates and business partners, and his executive experience spans 16 years in the industry, 10 of them with Ingram Micro. He is well prepared to lead China through an era of continued growth and achievement. 

Frank will report to Shailendra Gupta, who is currently overseeing all countries in Asia-Pacific except China. This will give Shailendra full responsibility for the entire Asia-Pacific region. Shailendra is an outstanding executive who joined Ingram Micro three years ago with the acquisition of Tech Pacific, where he was chief executive officer. We’re confident that his skills will help the region achieve even greater success and prominence.

I want to thank Meinie for his 21 years of service to Ingram Micro. He has been an outstanding leader and trusted colleague, and I hope he and his family enjoy many years of happiness in this new chapter of their lives. I also want to congratulate Shailendra and Frank on their expanded responsibilities in Asia-Pacific. Shailendra, Meinie and Frank have played key roles in transforming our Asia-Pacific region from a laggard to the company’s profit leader. Please send them your best wishes for continued success.
