E-sys chairman and CEO Vikas Goel expressed relief after a long-running lawsuit against him and his company was dropped on friday. "We can now focus fully on future expansion,"he told BT.
A company called Karma International Sarl(KISA) and its Swiss-regis-tered subsidiary CHS CPO GmbH had started legal proceedings against Mr Goel and his company in July 2004
The dispute centred on ownership of one of twelve companies that E-sys had purchased in the last few years. However, after reviewing the information and documents verifying the legitimacy of the purchase, the plaintiffs decided to drop the litigation.

apart form withdrawing the suit and the allegations, the plaintiff`s lawyers Rajah and Tann indicated in a press statement that "CHS CPO and KISA are pleased to further announce that they have amicably resolved with the defendants all issues arising form the suit".
The lawsuit - althogh groundless and settled earlier in principle - had nevertheless raised a storm of unwelcome piblicity for E-sys, an electronics distributor and PC manufacturer.
"Once you face such allegations, naturally it makes some people sceptical, and you have to put some plans on hold while trying to explain to people one by one that you`re in the clear," Mr Goel said.
"Now that it`s offcially over, we can move forward. Our management and employees can fully focus on future growth." Market talk was that because of the lawsuit, some major MNCs were going slow in signing up E-sys for new projects and contracts. However, it now appears that these can go ahead as normal.
E-sys is one of Singapore`s fastest-growing companies. Started in 2000, itachieved revenues of $3 billlion last year. It expects to continue maintaining double-digit growth. Mr Goel, 36, was the winner of this year`s Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
